We are standing at the point in time where climate and weather changes are causing disasters and humans can’t control that.
Climate control measures or importance cannot be taken for granted anymore as it has caused huge damage to several states in 2022. The ongoing year has seen tremendous climate extremes like wildfires, flooding, and heavy rainfall.
One of the examples is The Islamic Republic of Pakistan which became the victim of the deadliest floods this year.
Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that climate change is the ultimate peril the planet has ever confronted.
It is important to note that how in all these years has the climate been polluted or disturbed?
The revolution and industrialization we are manifesting and enjoying have slowly disturbed the natural balance and led to the worst calamities.
There is always an equilibrium in the environment that has gases, elements, and layers. They play the best role in that equality. The layers and proportions of chemicals play the best part as soon as they are not excessing or depleting.
The emission from factories, industries, or vehicles, chemicals and poisonous elements that is thrown into water bodies are polluting the environment, over-constructions, and all the advancements have somehow disturbed the natural balance.
Therefore, it is the human-induced climate changes that are polluting the environment and causing damage.
Not all humans are responsible for this. Several states in the world are poor and lack huge industrialization.
With limited resources, these nations are tackling huge climatic extremes. Some other states that are rich and highly successful and advanced are responsible for a huge percentage of global emissions.
With such huge industries, they did not practice the Protection services to tackle the climate. The addition of harmful gases and chemicals to the environment was constant and there wasn’t any break.
Over all the years, there has been a lack of thinking about Climate control and now it is showing dark colors to the world.
The biggest and most ubiquitous threat to global security is caused by human-induced climate change, which is bringing about mayhem in the underprivileged states of the world.
People die due to extreme climate conditions and a lot of their infrastructure gets damaged. They come under the sky all hopeless and helpless, waiting for some miracle to happen.
How climate changes are causing inequality and human rights abuses?
It might sound and look absurd but this is also one of the outcomes of climate and weather changes.
As a result of climate change and no Climate control measures, human rights are being badly harmed and infringed especially in poor and underdeveloped states.
The extremes like flooding or heavy monsoon cause resources to be damaged and people have to live in extremely underprivileged environments.
They are often in the open sky, have nothing hygienic and well to eat or consume and to survive starvation and poverty, they have to compromise their rights.
It rises to abuse, sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and slavery along with the ruined rights to living, healthcare, nutrition, growth, independence, adequate sanitation, employment, and adequate housing.
Children, youth, females, people with ill health, ethnic peoples, and minorities are the ones most impacted and suffering the biggest losses.
Particularly, indigenous peoples have been the subject of violent assaults and violations of their human rights. The costs of these climate and weather transformation-linked worst calamities are huge.
It is the same thing when someone commits a sin and someone gets punished for that.
The rich nations and firms fail to accept responsibility for intense emissions. If the measures to tackle the situation were taken along with industrialization, the world would not be suffering the way it is.
The total effect of inadequate steps for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is producing a disaster for human rights.
Why does climate change continue to pose the biggest risk to human health and global security?
Human health is also at the stake to major threats. Increased heart attacks and strokes, the development of infectious diseases, and psychological suffering are only a few of the health effects of polluted air and continuously rising temperatures.
We can see how people have files of list-long diseases and how they get ill more often.
When the temperature is increasing in the normal ranges, heavy rainfall is disturbing the weather and temperature is showing variations, which impacts human health in terms of adaptability and tolerance. Since they live in the environment, there is a direct relation to everything.
Furthermore, it is now thought-provoking to deny how progressively growing regular temperatures are powering wildfires, hurricanes, and other calamities. Weather and climate changes are no longer short-term.
The greatest hazard to human health in recorded history is climate change, which also endangers every other component of the planet. The time has become harder to survive the climatic extremes of the world and the frequency and severity of climate change are intolerant.
We share the same environment and species are linked with each other. The varying environmental factors impact every one of them.
The alarms of scientists are bringing some true things that are hard to accept but foolish to deny.
- Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, polluting the environment and triggering climate change.
- The use of fossil fuels may also negatively affect other sectors and aspects of human health.
- The lungs, heart, and even the bloodstream can be affected by microscopic particles in the polluted air, which can lead to stroke and heart attacks.
- The aged are particularly vulnerable to the harmful effects of air pollution, but many other people are also at risk.
- Heat waves can be fatal.
The end note
The frequency or intensity of extreme and dangerous weather events is rising. Climate change is worsening, but still, there is nothing much environmentally-friendly.
People all around the world are experiencing the effects in form of storms, flooding, heat waves, and wildfires.
Humans must considerably moderate worldwide carbon emissions to zero-emission to prevent the most horrible costs of climate change.
Stay prepared for the severe and inevitable consequences, including increased temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, ocean acidification, sea level rise, and a rise in the intensity and frequency of extreme weather events, if we don’t take action soon.
One of the global solutions is extraordinary levels of international cooperation that set a value on nature and Climate control.
