“Platforms like Facebook are killing people by allowing Covid-19 misinformation on their services.”
Reportedly daily Covid-19 deaths have augmented by 26% to 211 per day and 36% proliferation in hospitalizations and a 26% increase in deaths due to COVID-19 in the past week.
Biden has denunciated social media platforms with the spread of Covid-19 misinformation.
President Biden even out an unexpected charge against Facebook and other social media platforms by claiming they are killing people by allowing coronavirus misinformation to spread and not stimulating the misinformation and facts.
President Biden further said,
“They’re killing people. I mean it. Look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated and they’re killing people.”
Facebook has taken steps to help people and pushed back against Biden’s comments and inclinations.

The White House has been snowballing pressure on social media companies to tackle disinformation. The pressure is due to a sudden augmentation in the corona cases that is turning the situation worst.
According to a White House spokesperson,
“Facebook and other platforms were not doing enough to combat Covid-19 misinformation about vaccines. There are steps they have taken, It’s clear that there are more than can be taken.”

The fact is that more than 2 billion people have viewed Covid-19 misinformation and vaccines on Facebook, which is more than any other place on the internet. More than 3.3 million Americans have also used our vaccine finder tool to find out where and how to get a vaccine. The facts show that Facebook is helping save lives.”
Social media companies have been often questioned regarding the Covid-19 misinformation and spread of facts that are deteriorating the people.
