Iran is entered into a new Presidential era with the appointment of a new president. Felicitations and greetings are transferred in for Ebrahim Raisi on winning Iran’s presidential election. The other three candidates and his rivals all applauded him for his triumph.
The other two candidates were Mohsen Rezai and Amirhossein Qazizadeh Hashemi has also unambiguously congratulated Raisi.
Departing President Hassan Rouhani said about the new Presidential era of Iran,
“I congratulate the people on their choice. My official congratulations will come later, but we know who got enough votes in this election and who is elected today by the people.”
Ebrahim Raisi won 62% of the votes calculated so far according to the statistics and reports by election office chairman Jamal Orf who broadcasted later on state television as the count continued, with no turnout figures released yet.
New president Ebrahim Raisi will take over in August as Iran pursues to pick up the nuclear agreement with captain powers and the states also urge to unrestricted itself from exhausting U.S. sanctions that have compelled a piercing economic downward spiral.
Former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said,
“I would not vote, declaring in a video message that I do not want to have a part in this sin. Save the people.”
The TV coverage and media reporting show pictures of flag-waving voters and some expressed anger at what they saw as a stage-managed election aiming to cement ultraconservative control. Ebrahim Raisi is named in the antagonism and human rights groups for the mass execution of political prisoners in 1988. The U.S. administration has also sanctioned the newly elected over the elimination.
Because of old and new U.S. sanctions on Iran, the trade industry dried up and foreign companies scrammed leading to the severity of the deterioration of the economy. The economy decreased and spiraling expenses fuelled recurrent attacks and sessions of social turbulence which were put down by security forces. Iran has confronted an era of severity and disturbance.
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has also acknowledged Iran’s new president Ebrahim Raisi for fortifying the landmark victory. Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Iran’s new president, Ebrahim Raisi, in the country’s 13th presidential elections,
“Congratulations to Excellency brother and new president Ibrahim Raisi on his landmark victory in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s 13th Presidential elections.”
Hamed Mousavi, a political science professor at Tehran University, said,
“The narrative among conservatives has been that mismanagement by the Rouhani government led to the current situation. So according to this narrative, if this mismanagement is fixed then the economy will be fixed but I do think that many conservatives at least internally understand how important the sanctions are. I think this will go back to how much Raisi will show flexibility in the negotiations. One important point is who he will appoint for the nuclear negations.”
Raisi has assured the confrontation of inflation and the creation of at least one million jobs per year. He also promised to dimensions new housing and dedicate special loans to first-time homebuyers who get married, in addition to ushering in a new era of financial transparency and fighting corruption.
Temporarily, the 83 million population of Iran is distressed from widespread inflation and high unemployment while the government is running a considerable budget deficit and faces difficulties in handling what has become the deadliest COVID-19 pandemic in the Middle East. All major social media and messaging apps are blocked in Iran, except for Instagram and WhatsApp. There is no social life and participation of the state in social media in general.
The end note
The new Presidential era must be devoted to Iran as the state is in the chaos of several problems. The new president Ebrahim Raisi has guaranteed the best for the state, however, time will show his trust thoughts for the state.
