Kim Seokjin, The eldest member of the well-known South Korean K-pop worldwide has successfully completed his required military duty and came back after 18 months.
It has been a BTS drought since the members went to the military because fans and the people have been actively engaged with their content. This decade has seen the rise of South Korean culture and no doubt, BTS paved the way and played the role of no more than the main characters in the universality of this industry.
But now BTS Jin is back and as they celebrate his comeback, fans all across the world are getting a light after this period.
Nonetheless, all physically fit men in South Korea must enlist in the military and serve for 18 to 21 months. Kim Seokjin, enlisted in December 2022 as he was getting close to the legal age to serve in the military.
Since he was the first member of BTS to join the military, his admirers were upset and also waited this long for his completion.
The K-pop artists, BTS’s military duties were highly talked about topics with many people saying for relief and other people saying they must join as rules are for everyone.
In the end, all the K-pop BTS members went to complete the mandatory duties because again the country belongs to everyone and so does the rule.
Kim Seokjin leaves after finishing military duty
After completing his 18-month military duty in South Korea, BTS Jin leaves dressed in uniform and has a black beret on. He is the first member of BTS to finish the service requirement.
At the military post in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province, south Korea, Jin hugged his coworkers with an intense expression on his face. This moving scene was captured on TV.
Furthermore, Jin expressed his emotions during a live broadcast on Weverse.
He voiced his emotions as,
“I cried during the ceremony. But for the last year and six months, it was so much fun. I am so glad I met so many wonderful people.
In a short time, the webcast exceeded 3 million views which by the way is nothing new because BTS has unmatched stardom and fame. Kim Seokjin also thanked his fellow soldiers.
To celebrate with Jin, other K-pop BTS members who are also in the military got time and joined him. One of the rappers from the group, RM, welcomed Jin with a little saxophone performance of their smash song, Dynamite.
Nevertheless, BTS aims to get back together in 2025 once each member has served their time.
Furthermore even after he enlisted, k-pop artists BTS remained incredibly popular. The band and its members kept going strong, representing their significant worldwide influence.
Not only this, when in December 2023 finally all BTS members went to duties, still fans were engaged in promoting and consuming their content.
BTS has been a best-selling artists, setting incredible records and reaching unprecedented milestones.
One after another they gain great achievements and recognition, as a group and individually too.
The group selected individual and group projects.
The best-selling artists BTS members each worked on their own personal projects, including solo music. Fans were able to witness new aspects of their celebrities.

Moreover, South Korean K-pop group BTS has maintained its position as an international superstar by winning a plethora of honors and recognitions both domestically and abroad.
The time spent in the military did not halt their unmatched success. Now that Jin’s military service is over, fans are excited for him to join BTS again. A new chapter for the organization and for him begins with his homecoming.

When they all would be back, it will be one of the most highly anticipated occasions in K-pop history.
