The United Kingdom government has rejected Nawaz Sharif’s visa extension request due to certain rules. Nawaz Sharif, former Prime Minister of Pakistan has been active in London since November 2019 after he was certified to leave the country for medical management.

The United Kingdom government has overruled Nawaz Sharif’s visa extension request. The PML-N has definite on Thursday regarding the news in a statement.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said,

“The United Kingdom government has excused itself from further extending Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s visa. The Home Office had stated that Nawaz could appeal against this decision in the immigration tribunal. Nawaz Sharif’s visa extension request lawyers have filed an appeal in the British immigration tribunal. The Home Office’s order would not be effective until a decision on the appeal, and Nawaz Sharif can reside in the United Kingdom legally until the appeal is decided.”

Nawaz has been living in London since November 2019 after he was allowed to leave the country for medical treatment.

Nawaz was a confirmed lawbreaker in two cases of Avenfield properties and Al-Azizia by the Islamabad High Court after failing to act before the court. The management had consequently absolutely abandoned his passport.

Nawaz has been active in Britain on a lawful visa.  The visa expiry is not clear and confirmed.

According to the regulations of the United Kingdom, a non-United Kingdom inhabitant cannot endure in the United Kingdom for more than six months at a time.

Nawaz’s six-month visit visa had expired, after which he had appealed to the United Kingdom Home Office to award him an extension on health grounds.

Nawaz has to petition for the decision with the department to attitude British courts.

Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed said,

“Nawaz’s passport a diplomat passport owing to him being a former prime minister had expired on February 16 and he is no longer a citizen of Pakistan. After the expiry, Nawaz had not applied for a renewal. If Nawaz Sharif wishes to come to Pakistan, he can obtain a passport within 24 hours. The embassy can only issue a passport for his return to Pakistan. Pakistan has been trying to bring Nawaz back for a while but is unable to do so. Only Nawaz knows whether or not he wishes to come back. Nawaz cannot travel anywhere with his expired Pakistani passport.”

Nawaz’s lawyers had filed an appeal with the tribunal, which consist of his medical records. The lawyers have made Nawaz’s health the grounds for his visit to the United Kingdom.

Based upon the contemporary political war and fluctuation, the former prime minister only has a few options left. He can go to the Pakistani embassy, where he will be delivered with momentary travel documents, through which he can travel back to Pakistan and answer for the crimes he has been charged with or he can dare the decision and prove himself.

He has been seen multiple times mobile in London and dining out in restaurants despite his statement of being extremely ill.

The contemporary government of Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf have no particular antagonism with Nawaz. The lone subject is his crime of laundering billions of rupees out of the country and is now an escapee.

Accountability court judge Mohammad Bashir had on July 6, 2018, condemned Nawaz in the Avenfield reference and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.

On the other hand, on September 19, 2018, an Islamabad High Court bench comprising Chief Justice Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb deferred the sentence in the reference. In the meantime, accountability judge Mohammad Arshad Malik had on Dec 24, 2018, condemned Sharif in the Al Azizia reference and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment, in addition to commanding fines of Rs1.5 billion and $25 million.

On October 29, 2019, after Nawaz was supposed by his doctors to be in pain from problematical cardiac disease and an immune system disorder that give rise to a treacherously low platelet count, his sentence in the Al Azizia reference was suspended by a two-member bench of the IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, for eight weeks on medical grounds.

Nawaz Sharif’s visa extension request is rejected based on certain laws of, the United Kingdom government. He is fronting some serious trials in his country.
