The State of Bangladesh has witnessed a troublesome situation as several died and were injured in the fire and blast. Explosions in Industrial areas and fires are common in Bangladesh.

Due to poor and unsuitable security procedures, the fire takes the lives of people.

A plethora of people reached to calm the fire after numerous shipping vessels blasted at the location in Sitakunda.

A minimum of 49 were killed and above 300 wounded in the fire and blasts in the container storehouse. The wounded are in a life-threatening situation with Hospitals overwhelmed. The gatherings of people are outside hospitals, worried and fearful waiting for their loved ones.

The Firefighters attempt to switch off the fire but ended up hurting themselves. Moreover, some of them died in an attempt to calm the situation.

According to the reports,

“The death toll has risen to 49. Over 300 persons have been wounded in the blaze and following blasts. Fatalities number is projected to increase as some of the wounded are in a serious situation.”

The blasts were super severe that they shattered the glasses of neighboring places and the voices were heard miles away.

The firefighters did not know there was a chemical and thought it was a small fire.

Nonetheless, 25 fire task forces tried to calm the fire and fought for 18 hours. The severity of blasts and explosions was supreme and cause fear among the people and the Taskforce.

The firefighters are scared of the additional chemicals that will cause more blasts.

According to statistics,

“From one place to another, there were 4,000 vessels put in storage at the depot in Sitakunda. The site is 40 kilometers that make 25 miles away from Chittagong which is the central seaport and second-largest city of Bangladesh.”

Smoke upsurges from the storing yard. Due to poor safety regulations, the depot containing millions of dollars of attires burned and damaged, causing an interruption in the export to Western traders.

The extraordinary services division of the state military is serving the firefighters to save the process.

Due to excessive chemicals on the ground, people are having breathing complications.
