Amid the current Palestine-Israel Gaza situation, Iran’s warning of a regional escalation and the humanitarian consequences for innocent Palestinians is a hope as the state has been a long supporter of Palestine.
Iran has warned Israel that if it continues its aggressions against Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip, there may be a regional escalation. This statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it was a reaction to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s promise to demolish Hamas and his military’s getting ready to cross into the Gaza Strip to hunt down Hamas.
Amirabdollahian issued a dire warning related to the Israel-Hamas war that,
“All parties in the region are ready to act if the Zionist aggressions continue. Any attack on Gaza will result in the opening of new fronts of resistance in the Middle East. The United States and Israel will be directly impacted by any new resistance fronts in the region, placing them at fault for any possible escalation.
He had previously accused Israel of attempting genocide through its blockade of the Gaza Strip in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
On and off Israel has been involved in attacks on Palestine and in this Israeli vs Palestinian conflict, several innocents have lost their lives even from Israel when Hamas retaliated.
Amirabdollahian also met with Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, in Qatar. There, they talked about the group’s attack in Israel and agreed to keep working together to further the objectives of Hamas, which is supported by Iran.
However, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, made it clear that Tehran was not directly complicit in the Israeli attack by the terrorist organization Hamas.
Still, the state has always celebrated a strong stance in support of Palestine in the Israel-Hamas war. Iran claims that it gives spiritual and financial support to Hamas, the organization in charge of the Gaza Strip.
